I have been homeschooling for nine years now. The public school thing just did not work for my family. I am grateful for this experience, and am enjoying the adventure.

This year, I am only homeschooling Zowie. This is her Junior year. We are looking into her taking a couple of courses at a public school, that I am not really qualified to teach her. She does the Upward Bound Program during the summers, which is sort a college prep thing.

I do not know what all of her courses will be this year. This is what we are prepared for her to learn at home so far:

Literature

US Studies: includes geography, history, modern studies, slavery and women’s suffrage.
