Friends and Family

My best friend is Missy. She is married to Lester and has a son, Travis. I watch Travis sometimes while they are working or in school. Missy and I have known each other since junior high school. We get along great, and have fun when we hang out. We do not always agree on everything, but that is okay.

I have two daughters, Skye and Zowie. They are my life. They are awesome. I have been homeschooling for nine years. Skye moved just before Christmas, and Zowie still has two years of school left. They have a dog and cats.

My mom and stepfather live in the same town that I do, though out further. It is a pretty small town. They are lucky in that they have a lot more space for gardening. They have a cat. My mom is a housewife, retired from the mill early. My stepfather drives a truck and does other things. Things with cement or something. My mom and I are close. She and my stepdad will be teaching me to can with the pressure canner, and she has offered the use of the water bath unit if I need it.

My sister, Sheila, has two sons. Zach and Isaiah. I usually babysit Isaiah, who is also homeschooled. They live more in the country than I do, but don’t have a garden or anything. My sister is going to school for Psychology. They have two dogs (Rigley and Helo), two cats(Rosta and Willow) and a rabbit.

My brother, Chuck, works at Toys ‘R’ Us. He is a bachelor. He works hard and lives in an apartment. His cat’s name is Dude.

Katie is another ’sister’. She has the biggest family. Her husband, Philip, and their daughters Carlee, Mymy, Puss and Mouse. They have two ferrets, many cats (including Spot, my Pixie’s Mama) and Otis – the dog. They garden as well. Katie is going to school for accounting, and Philip takes care of the children. One is homeschooled.

My cousins’ daughter, Ashland, is also important to me. She and her boyfriend are moving to Georgia, and are having a baby.

My daughters’ also have a couple of friends who are very important to our family. Hanna is a girl that I used to babysit. Now she is Zowie’s best friend. Amanda and my girls new each other when they are little, and thankfully made it back into our lives.

Okay, so the people above are the most important people in my life. I love them all dearly.

Shannon
